A Message of Gratitude to the JABSOM ʻOhana

Aloha JABSOM ʻOhana,

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, I want to express my deepest gratitude for all you do. This has been a year of transition and change. I started as your dean in July, and in this short time, I’ve witnessed, up close, your commitment to clinical education, research, and care. It has been nothing short of inspiring.

To our faculty, staff, and learners,—your unwavering support and guidance continue to shape the future of our school and the future of medicine as we foster knowledge and compassionate care in the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The work we do is not easy, so it’s my wish that we all take a moment to reflect on the privilege of being part of a profession that impacts lives daily and the responsibility that comes with it.

I wish you all peace and love this Thanksgiving.

 Mahalo,

Sam
