Connecting Youth Pathways for Inclusive Careers in Health

huakai.jpgThe JABSOM Huakaʻi Initiative seeks to increase the diversity within our healthcare workforce by making opportunities more inclusive for all youth to explore careers in science and medicine. Our goal is to connect local students and educational leaders with JABSOM faculty and community health partners in an effort to continue to build pathways for careers in health and science.

Our vision is simple: To inspire youth to pursue careers in healthcare and science. The JABSOM Huaka‘i Initiative seeks to increase the diversity within our healthcare workforce by making opportunities more inclusive for all youth to explore careers in science and medicine. Our goal is to connect local students and educational leaders with JABSOM faculty and community health partners in an effort to continue to build pathways for our youth to explore careers and gain meaningful experiences in the fields of health and science. Our hope is to support, encourage, and nurture student learners as they navigate their huakaʻi (voyage) to fulfilling careers.
