Over the past two decades, VitalTalk has used an evidence-based curriculum to teach healthcare professionals excellent communication skills. Communication is the cornerstone that builds and reinforces the relationship between provider and patient. In Hawai‘i, VitalTalk, in collaboration with the University of Hawai‘i John A. Burns School of Medicine and Hui Pohala, has proven to be an effective communication tool to train healthcare professionals to have difficult conversations with patients and their families.
