JABSOM VIDEO: Celebrating “50 years of healing in Hawaiʻi” Date: July 20th, 2015 in Alumni News, Care, Faculty, JABSOM News, Student Life
![]() Produced for the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) by Larry Fleece with videographer Jeff DePonte, this 10-minute video is an excellent overview of the missions of the medical school–education, healing, research, all in collaboration with our sibling schools in the University of Hawaiʻi College of Health Sciences and Social Work and our clinical training partners, the medical centers and clinics throughout Hawaiʻi. More than 1,200 volunteer faculty throughout the state of Hawaiʻi also serve as healer-teachers. Our video was made possible through the generous support of the Hans & Ilza Veith Fund in the History of Medicine, made in memory of Dr. Charles Judd, Jr. and specifically earmarked for the JABSOM 50th Anniversary Project.
