University Health Partners of Hawaiʻi is our new name!

By providing the staff, expertise and organizational infrastructure necessary to support the clinical activities of our university doctors, advanced practice nurses, and psychologists, University Health Partners (of Hawaiʻi), formerly known as University Clinical, Education and Research Associates (UCERA) supports physicians and other University of Hawaiʻi health workers who are providing outstanding clinical care, while also training the future health care workforce for Hawaiʻi. Clinical research conducted in our training sites constantly improves our ability to diagnose and treat health issues that most commonly impact the citizens of Hawaiʻi and the Pacific.

University Health Partners supports the clinical departments of the University of Hawaiʻi health sciences including family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, geriatrics, speech therapy, psychiatry, psychology, and Native Hawaiian Health.

The practices of JABSOM pediatricians are supported by Kapiʻolani Medical Specialists, a subsidiary of Hawaiʻi Pacific Health. Primarily located at Kapiʻolani Women and Children’s Medical Center, faculty physicians in the Department of Pediatrics provide essential specialty care to the children of Hawaiʻi and teach the next generation of pediatricians as well.

The John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) is blessed with outstanding support from more than 1,200 volunteer faculty contributing in some way to the handing down of the healing arts to the next generation. These volunteer faculty physicians literally practice all over Hawaiʻi.

By providing excellent care and service today, our doctors and other providers play a major role in the delivery of health care in Hawaiʻi. By combining their practices with the other UH missions of teaching and discovery, they assure a bright and healthy future for us all.
