We'd like to invite you to attend our Department of Surgery Research Day on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Queen’s Conference Center Auditorium from 7:00am-1:30pm. We are honored to welcome our Robert T. Wong Lectureship Visiting Professor, Dr. Diana L. Farmer, Distinguished Professor and Pearl Stamps Stewart Chair at the University of California, Davis.
Robert T. Wong Lectureship:
Dr. Wong was a prominent Honolulu ophthalmologist and Professor of Ophthalmology. As President of the Honolulu County Medical Society in 1965, he led a group of community practitioners who vigorously supported the establishment of a medical school in Hawai’i. The purpose of this Fund is to enhance medical education in Hawai’i for Hawai’i’s citizens.
The Lectureship allows nationally and internationally prominent persons involved in the medical field to come to Hawai’i and give the University of Hawai’i, the medical professions and other interested persons in the community an awareness of the latest in scientific research and techniques in the medical and health fields.
