A friendly note that Keawe Street will be repaved from 8:30AM-3PM Monday, Sept 30 through Wednesday, October 2.
Access to LOTB will be strictly limited to access via LOTA.
Directions: From Ala Moana Blvd. turn makai (south) onto Cooke Street. Just before the parking lot for Kakaʻako Waterfront park, turn into the driveway on the right. Be sure to have your UH JABSOM ID card with you. When you arrive at the gate, push the silver AIPHONE button on the column on your left. This will connect you with DPS. You will then need to hold up your government ID before the camera for the officer to check against the approved list for entry. After verification, the officer will open the gate.
Limited access through Keawe Street will be through the construction work zone consisting of roughened pavement and short drops. Access to one of three driveways off Keawe Street each day will be blocked. If you foresee the need to request access to the campus via Keawe street during the paving project, you must contact Bruce McClure at brucemcc@hawaii.edu or 808-462-3198.
No parking in the 'roundabout' area currently occupied by State Vehicles and H.O.M.E. Project vehicles will be permitted during this three day period. A separate email will be sent to H.O.M.E. Project detailing where to park during this period.
On Monday, Sept. 30th, the pedestrian opening in the fence from LOTC to Keawe St. will be closed. Foot traffic will need to use Ilalo Street instead. The pedestrian access will resume normally on Tuesday, October 1st. The Traffic Control Plan is included as a reference and any further updates will be provided in the event that schedule changes become necessary.
