Lisa Taniguchi, Au.D., CCC-A

 

Dr. Lisa Taniguchi is currently Assistant Professor in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at the UH Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine and Clinic Coordinator at the University of Hawai‘i Speech and Hearing Clinic (UHSHC). As a proud alumni of the program, she returned to Hawai‘i in 2017 and is focused on expanding audiological services at UHSHC. As an audiologist, she has worked in an outpatient clinic and private practice with a focus on adult and geriatric care. Areas of specialty include audiological and vestibular diagnosis, amplification (hearing aids), tinnitus, and aural rehabilitation.

In addition to teaching students, she has a passion for community outreach in providing hearing screenings and spreading awareness of hearing healthcare. Previous mission trips included Guatemala and British Virgin Islands where she provided hearing tests, hearing aid fittings and follow-up care.

During free time, she enjoys time with family and friends, watching sports (UH teams, Indianapolis Colts and LA Lakers), cooking, reading, and taking her daughter to the beach.
