Billie Tang, PT, MPH, ATC


Billie Tang is currently a Physical Therapist at Straub Clinic and Hospital in Honolulu. She has been an active physical therapist in an out-patient setting for almost 40 years. She also has sports specialization credentials and worked at the University of Hawai‘i Mānoa Athletic Department for over 6 years and volunteered at several high schools over the years.

In addition to her clinical work, Billie has been a member of the Statewide Fall Prevention Consortium for many years and chairman for close to 5 years. She was also an active participant in the development of the Statewide Strategic Plan for Fall Prevention. She is responsible for Straub Clinicʻs free community service Fall Screening and Prevention Education event held over the last 5 years.

She served for 9 years as Board Secretary of the Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition. She is an active member of New Hope Christian Fellowship and serves in their womenʻs Bible study and Baptism ministries and is the coordinator of their womenʻs mentoring ministry.

On a personal level, she had been an avid participant in many sports, but with 2 total knee replacements, she is happy to be doing some easy hiking, recreational tennis, and stand up paddling. Reading and studying the Hawaiian language are her leisurely pursuits at this time.
