Edson Hirohata, AuD, CCC-A

Dr. Edson Hirohata is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. He has more than twenty years of experience as a clinical audiologist and licensed hearing aid dispenser for both the University of Hawai‘i Speech and Hearing Clinic, and private Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) practices. He has Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees. His specialties and interests in audiology and hearing science include diagnostic audiology, tinnitus management, otoacoustic emissions (sounds generated in the inner ear), auditory electrophysiology, and acoustics/psychoacoustics.
