Armand Kainoa Chong, DDS

Dr. Armand Kainoa Chong owns a private dental practice through which he has been serving the Kaimuki and Honolulu neighborhoods since 1990. He also serves as a dental consultant at Avalon Care Center, Convalescent Care Center of Hawai‘i, Hale Pulama Mau (Kuakini), Island Nursing Home, Kahala Nui, Oahu Care Facility and One Kalakaua. He was born and raised in Honolulu and is a graduate of ‘Iolani School. He received his education from Oregon State University (Biology) where he attended on a football scholarship, University of Hawai‘i Mānoa (Imi Ho‘ola program at John A. Burns School of Medicine), Chaminade University, and University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. He performed his General Practice Residency at St. Francis Medical Center and his Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) Residency with Dr. Terrence O'Shaughnessy. Additionally, he is the founder of the Hawai‘i TMJ Institute and is licensed to practice in Hawai‘i, Colorado, Kansas and Missouri.

Dr. Chong is an active member of the community and has served on the boards of various service organizations in varying capacities, including Catholic Charities Family Services, ‘Iolani School, Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic Club, Miss Hawai‘i Development Board, O‘ahu Country Club, Waialae Country Club, and Star of the Sea Parish Council. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and coaching football at his alma mater and 2014 Division II Champions, ‘Iolani School.
