The John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) student interest group, JABSOM Artists and Musicians (JAM), released the third volume of their holiday album on December 25, 2022.

Dr. Philip Verhoef submitted his rendition of “Mele Kalikimaka.” The song description explains how he recorded the song in 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic.

“Lots of healthcare professionals around the world were posting themselves recording songs to Twitter as #DocsWhoRock,” Verhoef writes. “I had never really experimented with multitracking and recording before and had a blast during that otherwise pretty isolated period.”

Listen to a beautiful remix of “Do you Hear What I hear” by Dr. Dee-Ann Carpenter and her children Jake and Marin Yoshino; the voices of Angeline Zhou, Vera Ong and David Coleman; and the acoustic stylings of Jason Seto.

“Hoping you’re all surrounded and celebrating with loved ones this Christmas and Holiday season. Thanks for listening,” Zhou and Ong, MD 2024 candidates, wrote in their song description.

This year’s cover art was designed by Shin Chang, second-year medical student.
