At JABSOM, philanthropy begins in the center of the circle: family first. Here we believe that if we are asking others to give, our ʻohana should be the first to give.
Each fall for the past fourteen years, JABSOM has conducted an internal giving campaign – Starting From the Inside Out – that asks faculty and staff to provide financial support for the school. To date, you have donated over $6.2 million dollars to support the projects and programs at JABSOM that matter most to you. Mahalo!
There is a difference between being paid for the work we do – our jobs – and our personal commitment. Employee donations effectively say, “We believe in this school enough to actually invest in it ourselves, to give of our personal resources.”
Year after year, a majority of us who work at JABSOM demonstrate that those who know the school best believe in its mission and support it with our personal philanthropy.
As always, we encourage everyone to support an area of the school that is meaningful to you. We will continue to offer matching funds to encourage participation and increase the impact of your gift. The campaign runs from October 14 – November 14.
In alignment with this year’s campaign focus of widespread participation, donors will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $120 per person. This is first come first served, so get your donation in early so it has a higher chance to be matched to the maximum. If matching funds are still available after all donors are matched up to $120, the remaining funds will be matched proportionally to the size of your gift.
