JABSOM's Huakaʻi Initiative ignites the passion of our future healthcare heroes! Launched in 2023, this program empowers youth to explore exciting careers in medicine. Through hands-on workshops, teachers and students learn to bring clinical scenarios to life, diving into patient simulations and discovering the numerous healthcare career options. The JABSOM Huakaʻi serves as a hub, connecting students with opportunities to develop essential skills and embark on their own journeys to careers in healthcare and science.

Our JABSOM tours are much more than a trip around campus! During these visits, your students will have an opportunity to experience a day in the life of a JABSOM medical student! Students can participate in a number of interactive teaching activities such as SimTiki simulation lab, anatomy demonstrations, gain hands-on clinical skills, PBL scenarios and much more!
