Jan. 19: Hawaiʻi Society on Clinical Oncology Event, “Medical Aid in Dying Workshop”

Date/Time

January 19th, 2019

8:00 AM - 11:30 AM

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, Hawaiʻi will be the seventh state to enact medical aid in dying—removing the government from end-of-life decisions and granting autonomy for terminally ill patients seeking voluntary relief.

Attend the HSCO Medical Aid in Dying Workshop on Saturday, January 19, to learn how this monumental change will effect the delivery of patient care, shift physician accountability, and impact daily business operations.

More than a dozen local experts will provide proactive strategies for communicating with your terminally-ill patients, clarify the strict guidelines your patients will have to meet for approval, and explore safeguards and best practices for a patient-controlled death.
