September 20th, 2017

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

MDs in specialties from all over Oʻahu will be on hand to describe the rewards of their particular careers, in an annual event to inspire students still trying to determine their career path. So many choices!

The concept of Career night comes from the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and has been generously organized at the University of Hawaiʻi (UH) John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) for two decades by Dr. Wendall Foo (MD JABSOM 1976).

This great student experience allows medical students to meet with and question doctors already in their careers. A multitude of physicians from different career specialties are assembled in one evening.

“We want to answer all the questions student might have,” said Career Night Founder and 1976 JABSOM alumnus, Dr. Wendall Foo. What is it like? What are the economic benefits of this field? What is it like trying to balance between family life and this specialty? We’re here to give them insight.”

The event is for MD students at JABSOM who have registered. To register or learn more information, email jabsomAAMC@gmail.com
