Student Q&A Session and Lunch with guest speakers Maria Dominguez-Bello, Rutgers University, and Timothy Osborne, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital

There will be a “Student Q & A Session” with Dr. Maria Gloria Dominguez-Bello and Dr. Timothy Osborne after their seminars Tuesday, December 3rd , 2019. We strongly encourage our on-campus students and postdoctoral fellows to join us and bring your questions! It will be an outstanding opportunity to meet with an accomplished scientist. Lunch will be provided.

Dr. Maria Gloria Dominguez-Bello is a professor at Rutgers University in Jan 2018. She is a member of the American Academy of microbiology, an IDSA fellow, belongs to the editorial board of several journals and has over 110 scientific publications. Research in her lab focuses on the study the co-evolution of the microbiota and host, and impacts exerted by Western lifestyle practices.

Dr. Osborne is the director of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Institute for Fundamental Biomedical Research and a professor of medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Osborne’s interests include the regulation of cholesterol and fatty acid metabolism and their interconnectedness and to determine how lipid metabolism is integrated into global aspects of physiology and cell biology.
