Medical Mycology, a one-day workshop consisting of basics and clinical case studies

8:00am Registration
8:20am to 12:15pm Morning session: lectures & slide session
12:00pm to 1:00pm Lunch
1:00pm to 5:00pm Afternoon session: lecture, slide session, Q&A

The instructor is Nancy S. Miller, MD. Miller is the Medical Director of Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics at Boston Medical Center as well as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine.

PACE Credit Program Objectives:
1. List classification schemes for medically important fungi and fungal infections.
2. Compare and contrast prototypical fungal organisms regarding clinical, epidemiological and laboratory considerations.
3. Summarize basic laboratory materials and methods relevant to clinical mycology.
