CATALYST: Homelessness forum featuring Dr. Jeffrey Akaka and sponsored by the JABSOM Primary Care Progress chapter
April 22nd, 2017
10:30 AM - 1:00 PM
The University of Hawaii’s Primary Care Progress (PCP) chapter at the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) is hosting an event to discuss the issues of homelessness and mental health in our communities. Various community service providers and stakeholders who have an interest in addressing homelessness and improving mental health services to homeless individuals are invited.
Organizers say this event will bring together community organizations and individuals who will be the ones to provide mental health services with a goal to develop actionable items to enact over the next year. Dr. Jeffrey Akaka, the Hawaiʻi Medical Association 2016 Physician of the Year, is the keynote speaker with a discussion to follow.
