ʻImi Hoʻōla Completion Ceremony

June 13th, 2018

5:30 PM - 7:15 PM

We are celebrating a new crop of aspiring physicians, who have earned their way into the University of Hawaiʻi medical school in a uniquely challenging and equally awarding way, through completing the intensive 12-month post-baccalaureate program to prepare college graduates — especially those from underserved communities or disadvantaged backgrounds — to succeed in medical school.

Those celebrating today are the first to be admitted into the MD Class of 2022, which begins its medical school journey next month.

The ʻImi Hoʻōla (“Those who seek to heal”) Post-Baccalaureate Program has produced more than 225 physicians.
