1. Ultrasound Targeted Microbubble Destruction (UTMD). We are developing a new method for delivery of transgenes and other biologically active molecules to sonographically accessible organs.
2. In Vivo Endothelial Gene Regulation. We are evaluating the in vivo effects of cardiovascular stresses, such as diabetes and air pollution, on gene expression in the endothelial cells that line blood vessels.
3. Cardiac effects of Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1-alpha. We are studying the transcriptional, physiological, and metabolic effects of HIF-1alpha in the hearts of transgenic mice.
