UH Medical School Makes Virology Cover

The colorful cover of the July 2007 journal Virology looks familiar to many around the Department of Tropical Medicine and Medical Microbiology at the John A Burns School of Medicine. It is a figure submitted by the University of Hawaii medical school team whose manuscript also appears inside the journal.
“Human Polyomavirus JC Infects Brain Microvascular Endothelial Cells Independent of Serotonin Receptor 2A” is co-authored by U.H. Manoa Graduate assistant Moti Chapagain, Assistant Researcher Saguna Verma, Assistant Researcher Frederic Mercier, Professor Richard Yanagihara and Professor Vivek R. Nerurkar.
Virology is a high-impact, peer-reviewed medical journal.
